Can anyone advise if the tables under article 130 (NFPA 70E)would refer to hazard risk for working on branch circuits or are they just specific to panelboards and switchboards?

Re: Article 130 Table

The tables in 70E would apply to any energized work. Be sure the notes at the bottom of the table apply. To ensure the notes apply, you need to calculate the bolted fault current available, then the arc fault current available, then apply that to the characteristic curve of the upstream breaker or fuse to determine the clearing times. Depending on the application, table 130 may not apply and require you to perform the remaining arc flash energy calculation and not use the table.
