i have 6 seperate buildings that i want to install outside lighting on and to feed from 1 house meter in 1 building.can i do this or do i have to put in seperate house meters in each building to pick up house lighting.

You can do this but the circuit(s?) that go to each building have to have a service rated disconnect where it (they) enters the structure and the equipment grounding conductor must tie to the buildings grounding electrode system.

Do each of the six buildings have their own service? If so check with the AHJ. It appears that the intent of 225.30 and 230.2 is to limit each building to a single source of supply. The words do not exactly say that, but I would clear it with the AHJ before proceeding.

THANKS NICK, I CHECKED WITH THE BUILDING INSPECTER AND THEY OK'D PUTTING A DISCONNECT AT EACH BUILDING WITH A SIGN.
