I've run into residental circuit breaker enclosures installed in damp basements that caused corrosion.According to article 312.2a 'enclosures within the scope of this article shall be placed or equipped so as to prevent moisture'.Can someone explain how to prevent moisture from getting into enclosures or just boxes installed in this type of situation other than a dehumidifier. Thanks and have a good day.

There are two options, change the panel location, or change the environment.

What about replacing the enclosure with one adequate for the environment? Perhaps with a NEMA 4X or 6P or IP66 unless there are none available for your application?
