According to older editions of the NEC, where Article 310 applied to both low (i.e., under 1000 volt) and medium voltage conductors, medium voltage conductors must follow the same paralleling rules as low voltage conductors. Now the NEC has moved conductors over 2000 volts to Article 315, which has no provisions for paralleling conductors at all.
Does this imply that A) medium voltage conductors must NEVER be paralleled, or B) one may parallel medium voltage conductors without having to follow all those pesky rules in 310 that apply to low voltage conductors? Both answers are ridiculous, and this looks like an oversight.
