Is it permissible to surface mount runs of type MC on finished walls in storage buildings and other permanently dry non-occupied structures for outlets and lighting? Can't find anything in the code.

330.12(1) does not permit the installation of MC where it is subject to physical damage. Subject to physical damage is the inspector's call, so make sure you know what he considers as subject to physical damage.


I agree it is permitted as long as 330.12(1) is not an issue.
