Can I use surface nonmetallic raceways (Hubbell-Wiring PS3BC5 -www.hubbell-wiring.com) in a plating shop? I'll install the raceways on a metal frame & on each end I'll connect a liquidtight nonmetallic fittings with manufacturers conduit adaptor (PS3CACF). According to article 352b (352-22 Use - The use of surface nonmetallic raceways shall be permitted in "dry locations") & (352-23 Other Articles - Surface nonmetallic raceways shall comply with the applicable provisions of article 300.) Thanks...

Re: article 352b ???

The articles you are quoting are in the 1999 NEC. Are you under the 1999 NEC or 2002 NEC?

Re: article 352b ???

not totally corrosive but subject to chemical fumes...I already talk to LA city's electrical inspector & they told me that plating shop is considered as in "dry location" & according to manufacturer's specs for nonmetallic raceways it conforms with article 352b-1999 NEC...thanks...
