I am looking at a Gas Station and the Electrical Contractor ran out of the side of the bldg with two LB to 12" off the concrete then to pvc then underground to a 5' gutter all in pvc. From there all of the 3/4 to pumps and what not is a 6" nipple in emt to the 3/4 galvie sealoff and then galvie pipe to bottom of trench then pvc. I have looked the article over and dont see where you can run the emt or the pvc? Thanks, come on Bennie take me to school

514.8 Underground Wiring. Exception No. 2: Rigid nonmetallic conduit complying with Article 352 shall be permitted where buried under not less than 600 mm (2 ft) of cover. Where rigid nonmetallic conduit is used, threaded rigid metal conduit or threaded steel intermediate metal conduit shall be used for the last 600 mm (2 ft) of the underground run to emergence or to the point of connection to the aboveground raceway, and an equipment grounding conductor shall be included to provide electrical continuity of the raceway system and for grounding of non?current-carrying metal parts.

EMT may not be used and a seal must be used at both ends of the run.
