Sections 605.6 & 605.7 require any of the Chapter 3 wiring methods to be used for the connection to partitions. 314.22 allow a surface extension to be attached from the cover of a flush-mounted box. Grounding needs to be independent of the cover. Flexible metal conduit, 348.42 does not permit angle connectors to be used in concealed locations. Presumedly, in exposed locations it would be OK. Same for liquidtight 350.42, and nonmetallic liquidtight 356.42. Cords may also be used for the connection of partitions, but must have an attachment plug. 605.4, and 605.8
