In the 2014 Handbook, Article 700.10-(D).1.1 indicates that feeder circuits in high rise buildings can be protected with an automatic fire suppression system. The commentary indicates that this is meant to be heads above ceilings if the feeders are routed above ceilings. This is not only likely not to occur but seems like a perfect way to knock a head off above a ceiling. What is the definition of "feeder" in this case? Is it to include everything from the generator thru the ATS and out to the last panel?
