I've been doing hospital work for the past three years and therefore specifying that all Emergency Branch (LS and Crit) be in conduit. I'm now doing some work on a college campus where we'll just have a regular old Article 700 wiring and to my knowledge this can be in MC. Is that correct?

The only wiring method I see at the moment, that would pertain to the question, is 700.10(B)
(B) Wiring. Wiring of two or more emergency circuits supplied
from the same source shall be permitted in the same
raceway, cable, box, or cabinet. Wiring from an emergency
source or emergency source distribution overcurrent protection
to emergency loads shall be kept entirely independent of
all other wiring and equipment, unless otherwise permitted in
(1) through (5):
It mentions cable so unless there is something I am missing.............. Where's Roger when you need him?:p
