Article 700 wiring change

Does the text change in 700.9(B)(5) allow me to add optional standby emergency circuits to a conduit containing emergency circuits? Both systems originate from the same generator. Conduit fill is not an issue. Engineer was not aware of the change; consequently was unsure. Thanks for any thoughts posted.

The reponse is a little late in view of your post time, but I would consider (B) (5) to apply to that wiring within vertical switch boards and probably not within raceways.

I agree with what I think Charlie said. :grin:

But to be clearer than that, emergency and LRSB cannot be in the same conduit, and the new wording of 700.9(B)(5) is not relevant to that requirement.
