Why the 601 fuse rating?

Fuses Rated 601-6000 amps are bolt mount like this.
Fuses Rated 1/10th to 600 amps are push ins like this.
So my guess is that the 601 is for use when you have a bolt in style fuse holder but you need 600 amps of over current protection.
