I am looking for the section in the code that allows or does not allow to use a meter enclosure as a pass through for the panel conductors?

thanks, are you referring to the raceway as the conduit or enclosure? Let me explain it a little better. There is a combo meter with breaker. The feed from the breaker in the combo meter goes to the main breaker of the panel. Is it permissible to install a (2) separate conduits; (1) for ATS for normal power and (1) from the ATS for the panel as the load side and utilize the combo enclosure as a pass through?

It’s done all the time, so if it’s illegal then a LOT of people (me also) and inspectors are wrong.
I’ve done several like that.
Had a combo panel already installed and added a transfer switch later..

Thanks for your input. I have been told it was ok but could not find it in the code. I do zero residential work for I am on industrial side.
