I'm working on a design for a new remodel on existing building. with an existing 1200amp switch gear (MSB), we are adding another piece of equipment, is a 400amp disconnect switch to feed a new UPS (no space on the MSB to add the UPS, unless I tap the MSB buss). here is my question:
the existing MSB is fed by 3 sets of 500kcmil and I will need 1 set of 500kcmil for the UPS d.s., the ATS have 4 set of lugs, and I want to know, if I can use three of those to feed the MSB and 1 to fee my UPS?
