ATS control wiring to temp generator connection point

Have a hospital in which I'm running 4#10MI cable from each ATS back to the generator control panel for start circuit plus control circuit monitoring per the Caterpillar method of meeting that requirement. We also have a temp generator connection point. Do I need to run the same wiring from each ATS to the temp panel such that a generator operating off of that temp connection point, would operate in the same exact way as the permanent unit (in the event that it was down for repair)?
