Just want to share an experience I had this morning. We were taking down a 1000KVA XFMR, fed from a high voltage switch 12KV. The guys had all the flash gear, leggins, hoods and insulated gloves with leather protectors....half way thru the job I notice the glove color...it was our 5 KV rated gloves...luckily for us we were not working on anything hot....just wearing the gear as part of our normal SOP. I busted my fellow co-working in a joking way... but please pay attention to the details.

The color of the glove has nothing to do with the voltage rating, just to be clear on that, the small oval tag color does matter.
