Hey all. I have a small cabin on my farm in southwest Missouri. Batteries and solar run my lights/TVs/etc. It is a weekend cabin and running power was going to be around $20,000 so not worth it. I have a major problem in spring and summer with humidity. I have walked in on a Friday evening and it be 85-90% and I have to wipe mold dust off cabinets/table/etc. I have propane which runs my hot water, stove, and wall heater in winter. I would like to buy a portable generator Propane powered and have it kick on for a couple hours each day so that I can run a dehumidifier. My solar system is way undersized to do this and I’m not interested in buying more batteries and panels since I only have this problem in late spring and summer. The smallest Generac whole home gen I’ve seen around $2500. I don’t need one that big. Any suggestions on portable propane gens with timer? Or how to put an auto start/stop timer on one. Thanks

I am closing this thread in accordance with forum rules. If installing electrical stuff is not your occupation, then we can’t help you install stuff. You would have had to agree with that rule during the process of registering on the forum.

The reason is that the forum’s owner does not want a person to get an answer to the question they asked, but not get answers to the dozens of other questions they should have asked and were unaware they needed to ask.
