We have a residence where the homeowner\electrical contractor are installing one of the Generac aux. power switching panels. Its a surface mount and has all the wiring exit via a 1 1/4" conduit on the side of the panel that is obviously exposed due to the surface mounting.
The issue is that it is connecting to a flush mounted panel already installed in the residence.
They are proposing to run conduit to exit from the surface mounted panel through the drwayll and into the flush mounted main panel. Question is, can this be anything other than rigid conduit? Would anything flexible be approved? Its a debate among some guys here hence my posting...
Anyone have any standards for this type of installation?
I ask as I'm in Florida and I'm sure our inspectors are going to see more and more of these.
