Aux. receptacles from transformer

I'm putting in a couple of 45KVA transformers for some new machines.

The machine will only need about 50% of this KVA rating. I was thinking about adding a couple of receptacles off the transformer as well for all the auxillary equipment.

Its a 480 delta to 240 delta 3 phase.

I want to build a unistrut structure over the transformer or next to it to mount these receptacles to.

I would use a fused disconnect switch fed from the transformer and then to the receptacles. Would this be acceptable ?

If not any other similar alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Awesome,

everyone of my questions are answered here correctly. I work in a manufacturing facility and replaced a guy that was here many years. He was a "licensed electrical contactor" but he tried to cut corners everywhere to "save money" it seems like. Everytime I need to moe a piece of equipment I have to spend time "fixing" everything first and making it right.

I will follow 450 sections and make a nice clean job out of it.

Mike

oh and the receptacles are 3 phase 240 volt. The transformer I have doest have a lighting tap which won't be used in this situation though.

Do you mean that this is a center tapped delta secondary (240/120) and that you are not using the center tap?

Make sure that the transformer is properly grounded and bonded in accordance with 250.30.
