we are installing a 50kva xfmr from an existing distribution panel with 100a fuses. The xfmr will feed a 200a panel. The drawings only show a one-line for equipment being used. I noticed no arc fault calculation for equipment on drawing. is there suppose to be a arc fault calc. at distribution panel, xfmr and 200a panel. if so, who would be responsible contractor or engineer? doe this application even need one? we are normally provided with this info but this particular job didnt supply information. i was curious as to if this is even required for this job.

You will need a short circuit calculated value but not an arc fault calc.

Luckily, the 50kVA transformer has so much impedance that even with the utility generation plant right outside your door (unlimited primary), it is unlikely that the downstream 200A panel needs to be more than 10kA short circuit rating, which is often the minimum you can buy anyway.
