i want to go down to avo and get switchgear training. has anyone here done one of the courses they offer?

Be prepared, the AVO classes use all Megger brand test equipment and is somewhat of a sales presentation for thier equipment. Still a decent class but for the money there may be better options depending on what you want to acomplish.
If you expect to go to a 1 week class on switchgear testing and be able to expand your business into the field, you will be disapointed.
