Back Door Alert?

I have a customer that owns a restaurant that wants me to install a loud chime or buzzer that comes on anytime the back door is opened but has to have a key or some other way to shut if off (this is to assure that a manager comes to look and see what is going out the back door). I am sure that I can build something to work with a set of magnetic contacts a relay and a keyed switch, but I was wondering if there is a complete unit already made up for this, any input is appreciated...

his request is a little odd, because he already has an alarm system that makes a noise. Im not really sure why he wants a second stand alone alert, I will give him what he wants, its not my place to ask why....

The Detex EA-2500 is standard in many of the national restaurant chains I've done service work in.

I have used them before when the Detex stuff was not readily available. They have some nice products.
You may want to make sure that which ever product you select is loud enough or can possibly fire an external siren.

Did something simular for a high end clothing store, they wanted to know if anybody was going into the stockroom after a certain time of day. Designed and built it myself though, which doesn't help you.
