It's general practice for the people who maintain foreclosed homes for banks to backfeed a dryer or range receptacle from a generator when they are working there. I assume 120/240 though because I think they check that everything is working.

They are typically low Z. A water heater or electric stove switched on can back feed lights relatively well.
