In a wood structure hotel do fire pads work for back to back receptacles in the seperation walls for the rooms, versus the 24 inches seperation?

I would check the reference that certifies the assembly (U.L. etc.)

Thanks Barbeer, and yes I am the AHJ, I ended up asking for the listing on the pads along with the elec. eng. rfi.

I would ask AHJ and check the job specs normally back to back is not permitted and sited in the specification sheet.

I keep finding language similar to this on the putty pad manufacturer's websites: "When moldable putty pad outlet box protective material is used on boxes on both sides of wall as directed, the horizontal separation between outlet on opposite sides of the wall may be less than 24 in. provided that the boxes are not installed back-to-back."
