Anyone have a problem with back to back wall openings? I had some commercial insp didn't allow in new work

In fire rated walls I would try to keep opposing boxes out of the same stud bay. When not practical use fire rated putty pads on the back of your box.

Old remodel residential Vic Bdrm to hall should not be fire rated wall I would think.

They had a FAU in a closet between 2 bdrms they are moving to hall closet. Wonder if FAU closet needs to be fire rated

I think the boxes are fine since it is not a firewall. You really should put the romexes in the box though.

It looks like they could be old 2-1/2" or 3" studs. 4-squares work better if that's the case.
