I installed seven Coronet T5 hi-bay lights about two years ago(http://coronetnj.com/hi-bay_D.html). Four of them are now only half lit. I replaced the lamps and they are still only half lit. Has anyone else experienced a failure rate like this, or even close, with these lights? I would just like to know before I talk to the sales rep...

Thanks.

Not exactly on your question track, but last week I purchased and installed 4 surface mount wrap around fluoresc. t-8 light fixtures I got from big blue. The ballasts on 3 died inside of two days use.

1 1/2 to 2 years for a fluorescent lamp is about the life of the lamp.so 2 years you got the max.this fixtures have 2 ballast in them 1-4 tubes and the other 2-tubes.i believed the failure to these ballast was do to trying to light the expired lamps....a ballast can be bad from day 1 or last many years....pick one

who made the ballasts?

who made the ballasts?

I did two jobs, one with 450 t-5 high bays, and 1 with 75, within 4 months of each other. The first job 112 ballasts went bad, 2nd job, 30 went bad within 4 months of first light. The ballast were made by universal lighting technologies. From what I was told, they knew the ballast were bad, but released them anyway. They paid 35$ each to replace the first few, but the subbed out the rest to be replaced on their dime.
Check the ballast!
