Anyone know of a definitive way to tell one of the bad ones that are supposed to get hot and have their GFCI function fail from the good ones? The Siemens support site and CPSC physical descriptions sound a lot like the new ones. Lot numbers, magic inscriptions, something?

I've tried getting through to the Siemens support number for this issue over a period of many days with zero luck. I think I've got a better chance of making an Elvis sighting than getting through to these people

Tony,

Have you tried asking anyone in the supply houses?

Someone told me something awhile back, but I can't remember exactly what it was. Maybe the new ones have a Star on them?

The people in the supply houses should know I think.

Bill
