Ball and Brush Conduits

Is there any reason to ball and brush(mandrel) large size conduits before pulling the rope and wire?

I agree with acr if there is the potential for debris to be in there then yes. If not then no.

It will also account for damaged or poorly bent pipe.. re- hot box work

Just curious how long do you think it would take 2 men( assuming it's a 2 man job) to ball and brush 100' run of 4" EMT?

If it is interior over head conduit, less time than pulling the wires. Just curious, if it is exposed wouldn't you see any damage or kinks? Why spend the time doing it, is there a reason to think it has debris in the conduit?
