Band shelter/pavilion GFCI

I had an electrical inspector approve a shelter's electrical and the outlets are not suitable for use in wet locations (weatherproofed) and there is the potential for equipment to be exposed to damp or wet locations. I know that they will need to change these to weatherproof but is there anywhere that thay would be required to be GFCI's?

I can't find anything in the regs other than dwelling units.

The only places GFCI protection is required for other than dwellings, except where required eleswhere in the code, is 210.8(B). These include Bathrooms, Rooftops, and Kitchens.

The AHJ usually determines the classification of a location being dry, damp, or wet. Refer to 406.8(A),(B) for requirements, and also Article 100 for the definition of these terms. :)

IMO, since the 2005 edition of the NEC will require outside locations that are accessible to the public to be GFCI protected, I would install GFCI receptacles. I agree that the 2002 Code does not require the GFCI receptacles in that application. :D
