On page 318 in the exam prep book it says the heat is 10 kw but when they calculate it, they use 15,000 va. How does it get from 10kw to 15kw? I thought when your doing feeder calculations for commercial buildings, you are suppost to multiply the heating and a/c loads by only 100%.

Heating equipment and air conditioners are not expected to operate simutaneously. You usually use the larger of the two loads in the calculation. Anyhow, I know the problem that you're having. I have the same book. It's a typo error.
