Banned members

I was reading an old post ('09)from a member that used to frequent this forum. I always thought highly of mdshunk and his opinions. (et al)
I was wondering why he is was banned. Perhaps this could be a learning experience for those who are treading on thin ice.
How long does a ban last? At what point can a member be redeemed and be reinstated?

It is handled case by case. We will not disclose what each case might of been but, I will say banning a member would be because the forum rules were violated.

There are different lengths of time for bans depending on the infraction.

With that said we will leave it at that.
