When roughing in a barn do all the boxes need to be dust proof? Or are regular nm boxes ok? Barn will have 2-3 stalls for live stock the rest will be boat and RV storage.

Barns in my area often have their doors open. I would be thinking of insects, voles, and squirrels.

Rodents like NM cable. MC cable is a lot tougher on their teeth.
