No, you need 10 AWG with a 25 amp breaker for this application.

I agree with Bob but would add that you could use a 30 amp breaker instead of a 25 amp.

Your numbers are good, but it is 240.4(D)(5) that will stop you from using #12.

Yes, 240.4(D) tells you you can't use the ampacity in the table for #12. It must be for a 20 amp load in the case of a baseboard heater.
