baseboard heat with supply on right side and unit stat on left

is it possible to do this with supply side on the right and unit stat on the left? I cant seem to find anything in any manuals

Absolutely. The element and the wire behind it form a loop.

Separate the wires at one end and insert the power.

Separate the wires at the other end and insert the T-stat.

Note that only a one-pole T-stat is needed/will work.*

A 2P will work, but only open the loop, effectively only one line.

By doing it this way does the T-stat satisfy the disconnecting means requirement?

The baseboards I sold, in the 70s, were rated for having the cables run the length of baseboard between the end sections. If using individual conductors you needed to run conduit between the sections.
