Baseboard Heater in Closet

Does code allow for a baseboard heater to be installed in a residential clothes closet?

I suppose your talking about a large clothes closet. The directions read " Keep away from clothing.
I think it would be okay by code.
If it is a small closet, them common sense would not allow it

Here is what the NEC states. The baseboard manufacturers may have other requirements. IMO, it's a bad idea.

424.13 Spacing from Combustible Materials.
Fixed electric space-heating equipment shall be installed to provide the required spacing between the equipment and adjacent combustible material, unless it is listed to be installed in direct contact with combustible material.
