Bathroom switch location from bathtub

I am roughing in a small (very small) bathroom that will have a tub, toilet and vanity. As layed out, the switches for the fan/light will be only about 2 feet from the edge of the tub. I know article 680 refers to the 5 foot rule, but in this situation I really have no choice. For that matter, the GFCI outlet and switch for vanity light will also be within 5 feet of the tub. Am I reading 680 correctly here or not?

If its a bathroom then as long as the switch doesn`t fall within the vertical line of the actual tub then you are fine.

Actually 680.71 is relevant to bathrooms, if the jacuzzi is located in the bathroom.

Since all bathroom receptacles are required to be GFCI protected anyway, you do not have an issue as to the location of the receptacle as long as the receptacle does not encroach the tub enclosure (as Wayne has mentioned).

The switch location requirement is found in 404.4, the last sentence...

"Switches shall not be installed within wet locations in tub or shower spaces unless installed as part of a listed tub or shower assembly."

...IF the bath even has a jacuzzi...
