If I have a batteries cell in a room, Can i put one side of the batteries cell against the wall, and in the other sides keep the working space around, according to 110.26.

Greetings and thanks

The batteries are Vented Lead-Acid Batteries, wich are located in a rack of one level.
Sure you did not mean Valve Regulated Lead Acid?

There are 2 basic types of lead acid batteries:
  • Flooded Lead Acid (FLA), these are the types with caps and plugs on top to facilitate measuring specific gravity, temperature, and adding water. Some jurisdictions will require spill containment based on the volume of electrolyte contained in them.
  • Sealed Lead Acid (SLA). are just like they sound like and have a few variations Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA), Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM), and Gel. All of them are sealed and have pressure relief valves to vent excessive gas pressure in the event of an overcharge or thermal runaway.
Regardless it does not matter which type they are. Any of them can be mounted up against a wall as long as there is space to get the lift in to install and remove them. One has to assume you have room for the lift or otherwise they could not be placed there in the first place. You just have to make sure not to install anything in front of them that would block future access to them.
