  1. Why was the battery room classified in the first place?
  2. What Group, assuming you have a good reason for the first question?
  3. Where did you get a T3 rated motor?
  4. What Type of enclosure does it have?
  5. Is it single or three-phase?

1- there is good ventilation but in case there is a problem in ventilation,we need the motor to be safe.
2- the expected gas is hydrogen.
3- class F motor(expected to be around 150c with high safety factor).
4- IP21.
5- three phase.

thank you.

Based on the responses to my earlier questions, the motor is probably acceptable since it should be unnecessary if the room is designed properly.

A battery room designed and installed per Article 480 shouldn't need to be classified even in light of Section 480.9(A). Fortunately, the amount of hydrogen generated, even in a high charge, diffuses very rapidly if the general ventilation is designed properly. That's an HVAC issue.

The AIT for hydrogen is 520C (T2B) so the motor's T-Class is ok but remember, once you classify the location Class I, Division 2, Group B, T3, everything else in the location, luminares, receptacles, etc. must also be suitable.
