Based on 210.52(G)(1) the following installation is a violation, agree or disagree?

Bedroom circuit feeds several inside receptacles then one outdoor (immediately outside of the bedroom) then back in to feed other interior receptacles then at the end of the run to two garage receptacle.

Thanks

When was the house built, and what code cycle was it under at that time?

If it's new construction, I don't believe it's compliant. If I remember correctly, the circuits feeding the garage receptacles cannot feed other receptacles, like exterior or the bedroom. Even if it's legal now, you would need combination afci GFCI circuit breakers, or afci breaker and GFCI receptacles for the outdoor and the garage.

It is 2014 cycle.

I was having hard time interpreting the phrase "outside of the garage". I literally interpret the "outside" as outdoors. So if the circuits feeds bedrooms and the garage only then it is OK. But if it feeds an outdoor receptacle then it is a violation.

But I guess my interpretation is not correct. "OUTSIDE" is anything outside of the garage footprint. And it sounds like the garage needs a dedicated circuit.

Bold is correct.

FYI, The 2017 is now allowing you to connect the garage receptacle to outside receptacles.

(4) Garage Branch Circuits. In addition to the number of
branch circuits required by other parts of this section, at least
one 120-volt, 20-ampere branch circuit shall be installed to
supply receptacle outlets in attached garages and in detached
garages with electric power. This circuit shall have no other
outlets.
Exception: This circuit shall be permitted to supply readily accessible
outdoor receptacle outlets.
