Best load center to use with whole-house transfer switch

I'm going to have my 20 year-old electrical service replaced with a more modern one which can be used with a whole-house transfer switch. The load center I have now is a combo meter/mains and there's no way to connect the ATS between the meter and the main breaker in the panel. So since I'm going to basically start from scratch, I'm interested to know what the professionals would recommend for the new meter and load center. What's out there that's reliable and ready to work in my situation?

All major manufacturers have excellent products for this, follow your EC's recommendation or get a couple quotes from different EC's.
