Best Locater for small residential business

We are in the market for a locater, it will not be used daily but we are looking for something of high quality that will be effective when it is needed.

Is there a "standard" locater to purchase? Any recommendations?

You wanting to locate underground or in the walls?

"small residential business" probably doesn't have a big need for doing much underground locating.

I have much older version of what 480 posted a link to. Works great, but you need to learn from trial and error sometimes what conditions will throw accuracy off. Though it looks like the newer units have more features to help with some of those conditions.
