I’m asking after looking myself and not finding any. Is anyone aware of a blank SPD receptacle similar to the way they make blank GFCI receptacles? I was asked to add a surge protector to a branch circuit with a dedicated load and this would be the easiest way for me to do it.

Do you have a cut sheet of that one or a link?
I know they make totally enclosed ones in enclosures for whole house surge protection that are type 1 or 2 SPDs but I’m looking for something that’s made (and priced) be put on 20 amp branch circuits. Normally it would be a type 3.

So far most of what have seen are SPD type receptacles and dinrail mount devices.

I’ve got a feed thru one on a shelf somewhere in my shop, when I get a chance I will post the manufacture and model number if I can find it. It’s about 10-15 years old, so I don’t know if they still make it. It has a 1/2” hub on the input end, with a 1/2” hub on the output side. Pigtails on both ends. As I said, I don’t think you will find one that is blank that will fit a device box.

Zero-Surge (https://zerosurge.com/products-2/) has commercial units designed to be wired between the panel and the load. Also OEM and DIN-rail models.
I have several of the plug-in point-of-use units. Units plugged into them have not been damaged for more than 10 years. That's not a positive statement; haven't had un-protected things damaged during that period. I have heard the one at my computer HUUMMMmmmm when the lightning is crackling around outside, and the computer never blinks.
These are NOT MOV-based units, so there's nothing that 'wears out.'
