Late Sunday question
Let’s say that a building has a main disconnect a little way away outside (closer to the transformer but with-in 100 feet).
1. Does it need another main disconnect at the point where the feeder enters the building?
2. (if so) But if that same first main disconnect on the side of the building, it does not need the second?
Complicating the mater:
If there is a generator and a transfer switch outside (load side of the main disconnect) and the main disconnect is on the side of the building:
3. When the generator is in use – the main disconnect is actually in the generator and not on or in the building. ??
I'm going to watch the game and will revisit tomorrow morning.
