Installed eight 6" Halo cans in a kitchen today. Thought it was funny that they put a label on a Blue wire that read "Black".

Well, if the wire was black, they wouldn't have needed the tag. :D

What's on the white wire?

But I always use red as a swithleg return, now what?

You will have to tape your red wire black or you will have a violation of not following the manufacturers instructions.

Was tempted to put a lable on my black wire that said, "BLUE"! :D

 :D Only problem with that is that you'd never get to see someone else's reaction to it 20-30 years from now when it next gets touched.

You'd think it would be cheaper for the manufacturer to just use a black wire in the first place rather than putting the sticker on...

ahh you would think so unless you had oriental child labor. you know the Taiwan, Korea and Chinese mad stuff they have forced child labor. never wanna be orphaned over there..

I figure they ran out of black wire at the Singapore sweat shop, and decided to use blue. After all, the electrons don't care what color the insulation is.

Then, somebody asked the legal dept if blue is okay for black, and they said, "Dude got the firing squad in China for allowing poison in dog food, better label the blue wire black".
