When there are revisions to a set of prints , for example to add tv plugs to my e page, should my new prints have all the same items plus the additions?
My problem is that each revision has the new item but is missing things that were there or now something is in a different spot. Any ideas I wouldnt think an architect would forget as many things as I have missed or put them in a wrong location.

Revisions aren't always just additions. There can just as easily be deletions and relocations.

Right so lets you and i both know the revision was for adding a tv because we priced it.
Then on the new prints it appears a plug that was in a hall is gone but no one actually deleted(credited) it.
Usually i follow whats on the prints and dont worry about it but this is the 4th revision and its missing things from the first set.

If they are going to revise sheet(s) and give you new drawings, it's industry standard to cloud the revisions. Somewhere on that sheet, or on a separate change order which references that sheet, should spell out the specifics of the changes.

When in doubt, call the guy who did the drawings and verify the cost change with whoever is going to be paying you.

Exactly they are clouded so thats not a problem its other sometimes irrelevant to the change, things that are moved or missing.

RFI s have to go through the gc who doesnt believe in sending them.
A short example.
Im doing a wall rough and notice the framer building a bump out , I say whats that for he says 60" tv. Not on my prints. I email the gc he replied with attachment that shows it there on prints from revision no 2 5/27. My drawings are 7/27.
I asked why arent they on my drawings and he says they must have forgot to show it on the new drawings.

Take notes on these occasions of discrepancy. Have GC rep initial/sign your outbound RFI copies...

Your situation makes it rough. Also, do not discard your old revision copies. They aer your evidence for what is missing or otherwise change and not part of the documented revision notes.

Its been a real distraction. The gc wants to give the ok to fix things but he dont like it in writing..

That would be a RED flag that the GC wants you to include the changes but forget to pay for them. A friendly E Mail or some such notification that you acknowledge his changes but require signatures before you can preform those changes would be in order. CYA to assure that you get paid for work performed.

I honestly have ask myself is this super naive enough to think ill put whatever he wants in and not have proof he ok d it. Or foolish enough to think no body will care if we change a few things or add a few.
