Boat lift motors

Two 3/4hp motors supplied by 240v each draw max of 6.9amp. Operated by a Bremas switches.
60amp SD QO sub panel.
Can I eliminate the inline GFCi on the plug and install two 20amp double pole GFCI Breakers at the sub panel ?

Not if it's factory wiring.
We just had a electrocution death at a boat lift. For liability alone I wouldn't wire around anything factory installed.
