Grounding of ladder and boat lifts at boat houses. When I ground these I get a small amount of current 5 to 6 volts from the lift or ladder to the water. If I disconnect the ground in the feeder from the house the current is gone. I inspected the house service it looks good. I asked our local building official he said others have the same problem where do I go from here?

What are you meaning when you say ground the ladder and lifts? You mean bond them all together or are you driving rods?
