Boca??

I overheard my Forman talking with the Super about the, Pendent type, chandeliers mounted in the hall of the Assisted Living project we are working on. The print stated that the luminaries should be hung 18 inches off the suspended ceiling. There was a potential discrepancy with BOCA. (I believe) BOCA stated that luminaries could not be below 7? 5? in a hall way.

What is BOCA? What does it stand for?

BOCA doesn't exist anymore. It was the Building Officials and Code Adminastrators International. BOCA, SBCCI and ICBO joined to form the ICC a few years ago, thus ending the existance of their respective orginazations.
