Bocci receptacles

Did anybody install this receptacles.
I'm just wondering if they are up to electrical code because of wiring accessibility

It looks like they make a special tool to "pop" the receptacle out of the backer plate

I hope I never have to see those in real life. Can you imagine fixing a bad make up with that deal?
I think if it were me installing those I would use lever locks or something.

The good thing is, they are ridiculously expensive so few people will want to pay them.

and if your two gang box flexes any when the plug is removed; bam, cracked drywall.

Besides, I already spent my extra $140/receptacle on those gold plated audiophile grade outlets.

So long as the wires in the outlet box are installed to code (length), they should be able to be pulled through the hole if needed...... looks easier to access than the JB of a 4" recessed luminaire.....but I still hope I'm never asked to install/work on them!

Do you know what is the best box use for this receptacle on millwork or stone wall?

All I did is go to the website and pull up the spec sheet. Personally, if asked to install them, I think I would lean towards adjustable steel boxes.

If they're listed by a NRTL, then it doesn't matter what any electricians opinion is, they're accessible. Ever tried to change a driver in a 3" recessed fixture?
