Absolutely not! Wire them as shown in the diagram. These are safety controls and, although it cannot be determined from the diagram, they should be able to shut down the boiler more positively than the thermostat in case of a malfunction.

The thermostat has to go between "R" and "G" in order to cycle the control relay which controls the circulator, gas valve, and damper through CR1 and CR2. The safeties are in series and if any of them trip they prevent the gas valve and damper to operate. (only)
